...that's just the short version, really. I've been pitching Celestial to a bunch of graphic novel imprints here, and have had product literally ripped out of my hands by editors to take with them. It's been phenomenal.

I posted on ifreelance.com a request for illustrators to turn The Celestial Virgin into a graphic novel. In 36 hours, I've already received 27 bids, and about 4 really good ones. However, there is the issue of paying for the illustrations in lieu of an advance, and I'm not sure i have the finances to pay someone a couple of thousand $$ for work ( Read more... )

An editor pointed out to me that The Celestial Virgin and its sequel, now tentatively called Heaven Is a Stranger Place (points for anyone who gets the reference!) would work very well as a pair of or part of a series of graphic novels --- aimed at intellectual girl-Goths and maybe some equivalent boy-Goths who want their paranormal urban romance ( Read more... )
